Set up a standing order

Setting up a standing order is the greatest gift that you can provide us with, whether you can commit to donating £15 or £100 per month, every donation would really make a difference in the work we do to support vulnerable children and young people living in York.

A member of the team will provide you with our bank details and a gift aid form so that you can set up your monthly gift to the next generation.

Send us a one-off donation

We are really grateful to anyone who sends us a donation. One-off donations provide us with the opportunity to create a pot of fund which we can use to buy material for our group based mentoring programme, finance new volunteer mentors’ Enhanced DBS Checks or providing tuition for children and young people who need additional support with their education.

Set up a fundraiser on Facebook

Facebook fundraisers are easy to set up and provide us with a top up of income so that we can forecast costs for future mentoring programmes. Most of our supporters tend to set up Facebook fundraisers for us on their birthday, however, fundraising through Facebook can be done all year round.

Leave us a gift in your will

Our mentoring programmes have proven to get to the root of the cause that results in children and young people unable to move forward. Our programmes bring hope, joy and offers a positive way forward regardless of their background.

By leaving us a gift in your will, it will help The Island to continue to grow and ensure all vulnerable children or young person can go onto leading more healthier and resilient lives.

To leave us a gift in your will, then you will need to speak with your lawyer or will specialist who will be able to get this arranged for you.
