Our 2026 events

York 10K 2026

It has been described as one of the country’s most beautiful city runs and one of Yorkshire’s most popular 10Ks.

The York 10K offers runners the unique opportunity to race through the heart of our wonderful city. The route starts and finishes in Knavesmire Road, close to York Racecourse. It then takes in some of the city’s most historic landmarks, including the ancient city walls, Clifford’s Tower and the minster.

The atmosphere will be electric from start to finish. And for runners chasing that elusive PB, the flat and fast course is perfect.

Dragon Boat Challenge 2026

Get ready to paddle for a purpose at the annual York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge!

Since its founding in 2003, this fantastic community event has raised an incredible £1.7 million for local charities. Now in its 23rd year, it’s your chance to be part of the tradition and make a real difference.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and fun-loving team of 18 to join our crew and help us raise vital funds for The Island. Whether you're a seasoned rower or a complete beginner, all you need is a big heart and a great sense of humour!

Yorkshire Marathon 2026

Fancy taking on a 26.2 mile challenge in the beautiful city of York and at the same time helping to change a young person's life?

The Altra Yorkshire Marathon's scenic route and unreal support makes it a standout event worth entering. Be part of this incredible festival of running loved by many.

With the on-course atmosphere electric, you will experience the crowds cheering your name. Along with a flat and fast course, this is the perfect event for you.
