York Crematorium supports The Island – Thank You!

The Island is delighted to be one of York Crematorium’s five chosen charities for 2025. Thanks to the generosity of the staff and visitors to the crematorium, The Island received an incredibly generous donation to help young people in York who need extra support when times get tough.

Bethan Gibb-Reid, our Grants Officer, attended a photo reception on a sunny afternoon with the other chosen charities, the crematoriums staff team, and local counsellor Mike Pavlovic.

A huge thank you to all the staff at York Crematorium, and in particular to Al, who nominated The Island to receive this incredible gift.
