Summer Social - Mentor Quiz Night

Our volunteer mentors are the heart of The Island’s services to young people, and we couldn’t do it without them. So this summer to say thank you to our incredible volunteer mentors, who give us so much of their time to support a young person in York, The Island’s staff and volunteers got together for a little friendly competition by taking part in a SpeedQuiz at The Charlton Arms in Acomb!

Splitting into two teams the staff and mentors competed against each other and twenty other teams (including some seasoned pub quiz regulars) for a four part quiz night! Though neither team emerged victorious, plenty of fun was had by all.

Thank you so much to all who came along to hang out, have fun and meet other mentors and staff members!
